Hi! I'm Brooke

Welcome to my blog. Here you will find me sharing my life as a wife, stepmom, runner, dog lover, and everything in between!

Weekend and a Race

Hi Friends! Happy Wednesday to you; the week is half over! Our weekend was good, but I had to work a lot, which is never the most fun.

Friday I bought a new shirt for the race I ran on Sunday. I used to have a tradition of getting a new shirt or shorts for a race, and I wanted to start it up again. With the sales, and the frequent shopper program, RunOn has, I got an amazing deal on a shirt and a sports bra. My husband calls it "The Brooke Discount" because I always seem to get really good deals when I go shopping.

Saturday was a lot of working, but we went to spin first and I cried in class, again. I feel ridiculous getting so emotional in class, but I can't really stop it.

Sunday was a race with my friend. It was just for fun and not focusing on time; sometimes that is tough for me, but it is also nice to not focus on an end goal and just focus on the now moment. My friend, Sarah and I used to run together all the time, but since she is no longer my neighbor so our running times are few and far between.

It was the perfect running weather on Sunday; a little cold at the start, but absolutely perfect by the end. It was mid 50's, sunny and low wind. Here is our before the race and after the race pics.

Camp went to spin class while I was at the race, after we had showered and changed we went to lunch at Zoe's. This was the best pic I could get; Camp refused to do a selfie. I told him if his wife is a blogger now, that he needs to get used to taking selfies with me and being completely embarrassed in public (haha).

I don't have much else to report for our weekend, but I'm working on a fun post I will publish later in the week.

Did anyone run any races over the weekend?
